About the Role

We are partnering with a well-established insurance organization to recruit a Bilingual Customer Service Associate to support claims operations through responsive, high-quality customer service. This role is ideal for a bilingual insurance professional with experience supporting claims-related inquiries who enjoys working in a structured, process-driven environment.

The Bilingual Customer Service Associate – Claims will act as a key point of contact for policyholders, brokers, and internal teams, providing front-line support throughout the claims lifecycle. The focus of this role is intake, claims-related communication, documentation support, and service coordination rather than full claims adjudication.

This opportunity exists due to ongoing operational needs within the claims function. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for claims-related inquiries via phone and email in both English and French.
• Support the intake of new claims, including gathering initial information and required documentation.
• Provide updates to policyholders and brokers regarding claim status, next steps, and timelines.
• Accurately enter and maintain claim information within claims management systems.
• Assist with claims documentation, correspondence, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with internal claims handlers, adjusters, and other departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Respond to billing, coverage, and general policy questions related to claims.
• Ensure all interactions and transactions are documented accurately and in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
• Meet established service level, quality, and productivity targets.
• Escalate complex or sensitive matters to senior claims staff when required.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance customer service, claims support, or call centre roles.
• Exposure to claims intake, claims servicing, or claims call centre environments is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of personal or commercial lines insurance is an asset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally and empathetically.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and claims or policy administration systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary typically ranging from $49,000 to $56,000.
